Medicare Supplement

Fill the gaps Original Medicare leaves behind.

Medicare Supplement - also known as "Medigap" - is private insurance designed to cover costs that Original Medicare doesn't pay for, including deductibles, co-pays, and coinsurance. You could end up paying less for a Medicare Supplement policy than you'd spend in out-of-pocket costs that Medicare leaves uncovered.

Medicare Supplement is so valuable that rarely does anyone solely rely on Medicare alone.

All plans are standardized by federal law.

There are 10 standard Medicare Supplement policies to choose from. The benefits for each plan are the exact same no matter which insurance carrier you buy from. The only difference is the price - which is why working with an advisor to compare rates matters.

Why choose Medicare Supplement?

Medigap policies give you financial predictability and peace of mind.

Covers What Medicare Leaves Behind

Medicare Supplement policies cover the costs for services left behind by Original Medicare - such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles - so you're not hit with unexpected bills.

Coverage When You Travel

Depending on the plan you choose, your Medicare Supplement policy may also cover emergency medical care when you travel outside of the United States - a benefit Original Medicare does not provide.

Simplified Enrollment - Possibly No Health Questions

Key Advantage

Depending on your situation and when you enroll, you may not have to answer any health questions to get your policy. Enrolling during your Medigap Open Enrollment Period - the 6-month window that begins when you're 65 and enrolled in Part B - guarantees your acceptance regardless of health history.

The 10 Standard Medigap Plans

Every lettered plan offers the same standardized benefits regardless of which insurance company sells it. Your choice comes down to which benefits you need and which carrier offers the best price.
